We are proud to say that all of our teachers hold a bachelor's degree in education, and are certified to teach. Director Jan Romo brings over 35 years experience in early childhood education. We offer a developmentally-appropriate program based on the Bank Street model. Our children learn while having fun using hands-on, discovery-based methods to explore science, math, language, and social, spatial, and physical skills with ever-growing confidence! Our morning session runs from 8:30a.m. til 12:00noon. The focus is on 3-5's, but many afternoon kindergarteners will also be well accommodated. The afternoon session runs from 12:30p.m. til 5:00p.m. and is geared toward pre-k children and kindergarteners, aged 4-6. Bus transportation will be made available for a.m. kindergarteners from Darcey School to the Cheshire Nursery School. Kindergarten attendance is not a requirement for either session. Cheshire residency is not a requirement.
