
Always have a well stocked and easy to access first aid kit available whether you are at home or traveling. There are lots of small, travel first aid kits available at drug stores or department stores that have all the basics needed. Be sure your children know where the first aid kit is kept incase you have to send them for it.

Take a first aid or emergency first aid program for parents. These programs specialize on emergency treatment for children including child CPR. This knowledge will make you more confident in working with minor injuries your child will likely have throughout their lifetime, plus it may also save your child or someone elses child's life.

Child health care does not have to be something you worry about. If you find yourself not able to afford health care services for your children, visit your local family services office. There are governmental agencies in place in every state to make sure that children get the necessary help they need.
